Tattvalogy Jamaican Black Castor Oil has been extracted from black castor seeds procured from Jamaica. It should not be confused with regular castor oil. The difference between the two is that Jamaican black castor oil is extracted by cold pressing roasted castor beans instead of the raw castor beans. Since the castor beans are roasted before the oil is extracted, it gives a dark blackish colour to the oil as compared with castor oil which is extracted from unroasted beans. Due to this, roasting of the beans, the ash content of the oil increases, which makes black castor oil a much better choice for the hair than the normal cold pressed castor oil.
