IKAI Natural Stone Flower
About the Product:- Dagar Phool, known as Kalpasi or Black Stone flower, is a lichen (a composite organism formed by fungus and algae) found in the Himalayan region and hilly regions of peninsular India. It grows on trees and stones. Our Natural Dagar Phool, sourced from Maharashtra, gives a distinct flavour and colour to the foods. It is used in Maharastrian recipes as ‘goda masala’ and also in some Chettinad preparations. It can be used in biryanis, curries, stews and masalas.
- Why Eat It ?
- The black stone flower (kalpasi) helps in stimulating the digestive enzymes, which reduces the number of stomach related problems like diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, excessive flatulence and bloating. It is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties and is used in preparation for many Ayurvedic medicines.
- Cooking tips:
- Use it to make ‘goda’ masala, make it a part of your garam masala blend or simply sip it as a green tea to unleash its benefits.
